Old Fashion Oatmeal Cookies

This recipe has been passed down on my mother’s side for generations. I have been making it since I was 9 years old, so you know it’s not complicated. The base ingriediants allow for many variations of which I will show you two of them. When I was little I preferred the variation of using no nuts, white sugar and candy morsels; now I prefer using brown sugar, cinamon and raisins. Both are yummy. I have also tried peanutbutter and toffee morsels and with/without walnuts all also very good. The best part about this recipe is how forgiving and flexible it is; allowing you to tailor the cookies to suit any taste or occasion. It’s a beautiful blend of nostalgia and creativity!
