Lime not lemon is the go-to citrus in guacamole for a few reasons: Acidity: Lime juice helps delay browning in avocados due to its acidity, keeping your guacamole fresher for longer.
Flavor Profile: Lime adds a bright, zesty flavor that complements avocados well, giving guacamole a fresh and tangy kick that enhances its overall taste.
Mexican Cuisine Tradition: Lime is commonly used in Mexican cooking, so it’s traditional in guacamole and keeps the dish close to its roots.
